Ana Lopez

Ballet

Ana brings a diverse background in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Salsa, and Bachata, combining strong technical training with artistry, musicality, and exceptional movement quality.

Her achievements include multiple championship titles through her competitive training at Marquis Dance Academy, a Gold Medal at the IDO World Championships in Poland in Ballet, and a Top 10 finish at the Youth America Grand Prix in both Ballet and Contemporary. Ana is also a world-renowned Latin dance artist, having won 1st Place at the World Salsa Summit in Miami, as well as 1st and 2nd Place in the Professional Bachata Division at the Miami Latin Dance World Cup and Canadian Nationals in Toronto.

Ana has furthered her training in the Professional Division at the Royal Winnipeg Ballet and at American Ballet Theatre in New York City. She is also the founder and director of Salsa Explosion Dance Company, where she has played an important role in introducing and expanding youth Latin dance training in Winnipeg.

Ana is thrilled to be returning to the Marquis family and looks forward to sharing her passion, experience, and love of dance with the next generation of dancers.
