Margaux Labossière

Margaux Labossière is a Franco-Manitoban artist whose Prairie roots deeply inform her storytelling and socially engaged work through movement, choreography, and pedagogy. She trained intensively at Marquis Dance Academy, earning multiple awards, and graduated with distinction from Toronto Metropolitan University’s BFA in Performance Dance, receiving the Pamela Hackett Excellence in Dance and Orly Watkin Dance Awards. Margaux has performed works by Peggy Baker, Anne Plamondon, Vicki St-Denys, Robert Glumbek, Merce Cunningham (staged by Dylan Crossman), and more.

She has trained internationally with Kibbutz Contemporary Dance Company (Israel), Metamorphosis Dance Company (Spain), Alias Dance Project (Canada), and at Deltebre Dansa (Spain), working with artists such as Alleyne Dance and Peter Jasko. As Assistant Director and Dancer with SQx Dance Company, she toured Canada, the USA, Portugal, and Iceland from 2020-2024. 

Recent projects include international co-creations in Georgia, Portugal, and Iceland. Passionate about education, Margaux is thrilled to return to Marquis to offer meaningful, high-quality training in a space that shaped her own artistic journey.
