Angèle Lavergne, A.I.S.T.D. (dip.), is a certified teacher of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet. Among other professional teacher's certificates, Madame Angèle holds a Cecchetti Associate Diploma from the Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, London, England, where she is also fully registered as a dance teacher. She has also studied dance, drama and music at the Saskatchewan School of Performing Arts, and studied at the Edmonton School of Ballet and the National Ballet School of Canada in Toronto. Madame Angèle's study of ballet has taken her as far as the world-famous Vaganova Academy of Ballet, in St-Petersburg, Russia. This most famous school of Russian ballet is home of the world's top ballet dancers and choreographers such as Mikhail Baryshnikov, Anna Pavolova, Rudolph Nuryev, Maya Plisetskaya, Marius Petipa and Georges Balanchine. Many of Angèle Lavergne's ballet students have won World Championship titles or have medaled at these events in groups or in solo performances. They have also been selected as scholarship recipients at numerous dance conventions and competitions and her ballet and pointe routines have been cited by adjudicators for choreography awards and top overall scores at numerous competitions. Her students have also qualified and competed in both the semi-finals and finals of the internationally acclaimed Youth American Grand Prix (YAGP)

Madame Angèle is a member of the International Dance Council. Madame Angèle has also taught many different dance workshops throughout Manitoba and has adjudicated for different competitions in and out of the province. She was the choreographer for the Team Canada that brought home Canada's highest ballet results to date at the I.D.O. World Championships held in Poland. Madame Angèle is the principal ballet & pointe teacher of the school and she brings a unique blend of both Cecchetti and Russian ballet curriculums to the program. As the school's director, she feels that it is important that all students receive the best possible quality training in a caring and supportive environment.
